Last Sunday, my friend and fellow dollmaker Kathy Davis threw herself a birthday party! She put about 30 creative women in a room with fabric, charms, beads, and all manner of bits'n'bobs, fed us a yummy lunch, and turned us loose with scissors, glue and thread. Wondrous dolls were created, and a good time was had by all...
These two lovelies are the fruit of my efforts -- a doll to remind me to Believe in my self and my art, and a fun li'l gal to wear about and keep me company.
These may be potato chip dolls...! =-)

This is my 2YO rescue funny furkid, Spooky, also known as Pinball Kitty (cos he bounces off the walls and furniture and just keeps going), also known as Crash! He purrs me to sleep with his head on my shoulder and his arm around my neck, and brings me his toys when he wants to play.
Spooky's outlook on life is "Why walk when you can RUN?!" I think I'll try to live up to that...

I finally have my Etsy shop up and running again -- the plan is to keep things in there!! Most likely I will move everything for sale from my website to Etsy. Beadle is my first offering, and as soon as Viktor returns from loan he'll be listed as well. Click here to go to my Etsy...and stay tuned!

Here's the back of Beadle...he's got a sculpted face and legs with a gourd for a body, and the colors are seed beads stuck in wax, one at a time with a needle, in the Huichol style. It's time consuming and labor intensive, but very Zen -- and I love doing it!
